High-Level Process Flow

The following is a high-level operational flow description of the operation of Warp Solution’s Omneo P2P.  Certain naming assumptions have been made for the sake of clarity.

Step 1.
Client Hardware Device Boot-Up

The Hardware Client Contacts the DNS

When the customer first boots a network-attached client device (typically, but not necessarily, a personal computer), it will perform a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) look-up, in order to configure several network parameters for the device.  This includes resolving the client’s IP Address, Subnet Mask, DNS Server addresses, the default Gateway Address, and the domain name of the DNS Server.  A typical example of a client DNS domain suffix in the network service provider’s network might be clientname.location.serviceprovider.net
