Forbes.com Revs Up Web Site Operations with WARP SpiderCache

Leading Business and Investment Portal Maintains Peak Performance
Levels and Delivers Dynamic Content by 500 Percent

NEW YORK (February 25, 2004) – WARP Technology Holdings, Inc. (OTC BB: WRPT), a leading provider of network and application acceleration technology solutions, today announced that Forbes.com Inc., one of the first WARP 2063 clients, has decided to upgrade to WARP SpiderCache to enhance the performance and ensure availability of its global Web site operations.   With WARP SpiderCache, Forbes.com has slashed the time to deliver dynamic content substantially.   Additionally, the system is well-equipped to manage traffic spikes that occur during peak periods, such as when the Forbes 500 list or other related features are unveiled.

One of the most trusted business and investment sites on the Internet, Forbes.com averages 6.8 million unique visitors per month. The site features real-time news and information on business, technology, investing, and lifestyle issues. It also offers a broad range of dynamic content, such as stock and mutual fund quotes, comprehensive company profiles, and a wide array of interactive tools, calculators, and databases.

Available as software or as a software-based appliance, WARP SpiderCache provides a powerful system to accelerate the delivery of Web-based applications and dynamic content over IP-based networks.   Forbes.com installed the software version of WARP SpiderCache between a cluster of back-end content servers and a third-party streaming service that delivers rich audio and video advertisements within banners.

Because of WARP SpiderCache's non-intrusive design and multiple caching methods, Forbes.com is able to configure and customize its content publishing system on an ongoing basis without the need for coding and programming.

“It is critical that our Web site and the dynamic applications and content on it are readily available at all times, and impervious to traffic spikes,” explained Michael Smith, Forbes.com's Chief Technology Officer.   “With WARP SpiderCache, Web pages that once required 10 seconds to load are now being delivered in two seconds or less.   This system is helping us assure a positive user experience, while providing the capability to scale our IT infrastructure to accommodate growth.”

“High traffic sites like Forbes.com that serve a mix of dynamic content can greatly benefit from WARP SpiderCache,” explained Michael Liss, Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. “The solution is designed to offload application server requests, which ultimately minimizes bottlenecks and optimizes performance.   This enables organizations to accelerate the delivery of Web-based applications and content, and get more out of their existing IT investment.   The Forbes.com commitment to SpiderCache is one of a number of exciting client implementations we will announce shortly.”

WARP SpiderCache is part of the company's GTEN (Global Transaction Enabled Network) architecture, which includes a series of software and appliances designed to improve network and server performance, and enable distributed content and application acceleration on a global scale.
