Network and Application Performance

NEW YORK (October 21, 2003) – WARP Technology Holdings, Inc. (OTC BB: WRPT), a leading provider of network and application acceleration technology solutions, today announced the immediate availability of its WARP 2063e v3.1 edge appliance. The new WARP 2063e offers enhanced features and functionality to enable enterprise organizations and service providers to significantly improve the speed, performance, and capacity of applications delivered across IP-based networks. A partial list of the WARP 2063 v3.1’s new and enhanced features includes:

  • Improved Partial Page and Object Level caching support
  • Cache rule templates that support custom URLs
  • Regular expression cache invalidation
  • Added flexibility in administering services, including pause functionality to pause/stop services separately
  • Improved compression options
  • Enhanced clustering support enabling improved performance and administration

As an edge appliance, the WARP 2063e provides a non-intrusive system that speeds transaction processing, reduces latency, and optimizes application and network performance. By off-loading high-volume traffic from the origin servers to the closest edge node, content and application requests can be served faster and more reliably, improving the overall end-user experience.

The WARP 2063e appliance can be used to deploy an Application Delivery Networks (ADN), providing a strategic technology infrastructure to significantly improve the speed and capacity of business-critical applications and transaction processing systems, such as online reservation and e-commerce, ERP, CRM, supply chain management, and other back-office operations.

“Organizations are increasingly deploying web-based applications and content to automate their business operations,” explained Greg Parker, WARP’s CTO. “Addressing the network and application bottlenecks inherent in web-based infrastructures, the new WARP 2063e appliance provides a non-intrusive system to reduce latency and improve performance, reliability, and scalability.”

The WARP 2063e is the latest addition to WARP’s GTEN (Global Transaction Enabled Network) architecture, which includes a series of software and appliances designed to improve network and server performance, and enable distributed content and application acceleration on a global scale.

Other new features of the WARP 2063e v3.1 include more flexible content rewrite schemes, additional per-host configurable parameters, enhanced rule distribution, and improved licensing solutions to include server/node mode.
