For Immediate Release:
WARP Solutions Launches Major Upgrade to
Edge-Based Application Acceleration Appliance
New WARP 2063e v3 Features Unique Partial Page Caching Functionality,
Compression for Outbound Static and Dynamic Content, and Advanced Security
NEW YORK (April 15, 2003) – WARP Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of WARP Technology Holdings (OTC BB: WRPT), today announced major enhancements to its industry leading WARP 2063e v3 edge appliance, specifically designed to dramatically improve performance of dynamic applications and content deployed across IP-based networks. The new WARP 2063e v3 is the first Application Delivery Network (ADN) edge appliance with the capability to support:
• Caching of both static and dynamic content
• Non-intrusive Partial Page Caching at the edge
• Distribution of cached content for edge node serving
• SSL acceleration
• Compression of outbound content
• TCP/IP session offloading
• Multiple, separately configurable hosts
The key enhancement to the WARP 2063e v3 is the innovative partial page caching capability, which provides a vehicle to easily deliver personalized, dynamic content to customers and users without complex programming and configuration.
"Proper non-invasive partial page caching has been the missing link to significantly improving the speed and performance of dynamic web applications,” explained Greg Parker, Chief Technology Officer at WARP Solutions. “Database and application controlled invalidation techniques were a big step forward. The new partial page caching capabilities in the WARP 2063e v3 take application acceleration to the next level by providing non-invasive functionality, without compromising reliability and scalability.”
WARP 2063e v3 supports both the “object include” and the “in-line” methods of partial page caching. With the object include method, the WARP 2063e appliance can easily accommodate object level requests that trigger dynamic real-time content within a cached instance. Additionally, the in-line method supports scripting logic and dynamic real-time content requests within a cached instance.
Designed for enterprise organizations and service providers, the WARP 2063e v3 provides a non-intrusive appliance that sits at the network’s edge to off-load high-volume traffic, and serve end-user requests from the closest node resource. It can dramatically increase an origin site’s capacity and performance, while also moving application delivery closer to customers and users in any geographic location – reducing latency, speeding transmission times, and optimizing network performance.
Industry Analyst Perspective on Application Acceleration Appliances
“The WARP 2063e represents the new breed of edge-based appliances,” explained Michael Hoch, Research Director, Internet Infrastructure with Aberdeen Group. “Products like these are designed to help enterprise-class organizations and service providers deploy application delivery networks to support business-critical applications and content delivered over the Internet. We see this type of technology playing a pivotal role in the deployment of Web-based applications, Web services and other dynamic content.”
Other Product Highlights
In addition to the edge appliance, WARP Solutions also enhanced its WARP 2063 application pre-processor. This appliance now offers partial page caching and support for multiple configurable hosts, and is deployed with a web server plug-in configuration.
Both the WARP 2063 and WARP 2063e are part of WARP’s GTEN (Global Transaction Enabled Network) architecture, which includes a series of products designed to significantly improve network and server performance, and enable distributed application acceleration on a global scale.
Other highlights of the WARP 2063e v3 include advanced clustering to enable administration, configuration, and clear-caching across a group of servers. WARP has also enhanced the security features by adding access levels and granularity that are user-based.
Pricing & Availability
Available today, the WARP 2063e v3 edge appliance and the WARP 2063 v3 application pre-processor range in price depending on configuration, and start from $30,000 per unit.
