For Immediate Release:
New Edge Appliance From WARP Solutions Provides Capability to Deploy High-Performance Application Delivery Networks
NEW YORK (January 20, 2003) – WARP Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of WARP Technology Holdings (OTC BB: WRPT), today announced immediate availability of the WARP 2063e, a new edge appliance that enables enterprise organizations and service providers to distribute applications, transactions, and content across global IP-based networks while maintaining high levels of speed, performance, and availability.
The WARP 2063e is a non-intrusive appliance that sits at the network’s edge to off-load high-volume traffic, and serve end-user requests from the closest node resource. Taking traditional content delivery networks (CDNs) to the next level, the WARP 2063e enables the implementation of an Application Delivery Network (ADN) to distribute ERP, supply chain, financial, CRM, and other strategic, Web-based business applications from the edge of a network. The WARP 2063e dramatically increases an origin site’s capacity and performance, while also moving application delivery closer to customers and end-users in any geographic location – reducing latency, speeding transmission times, and optimizing network performance.
The WARP 2063e is part of WARP’s GTEN (Global Transaction Enabled Network) architecture, which includes a series of products to significantly improve network and server performance, and enable distributed application acceleration on a global scale.
“Focused on static content, CDNs are simply ineffective in supporting the increased use of the Internet by the enterprise to deliver business-critical applications worldwide, as well as the growing volume of dynamic content and transaction processing online,” said Greg Parker, Chief Technology Officer at WARP. “With the WARP 2063e, WARP introduces the ADN, a new type of delivery network that addresses the need to bring applications and data closer to end-users wherever they are – enabling accelerated delivery on a global scale, while reducing costs and preserving existing investments.”
As an edge appliance, the WARP 2063e is independent of the technology installed within an organization’s origin site, and can be added to existing Internet infrastructures without requiring any changes, software, or plug-ins. The plug-and-play appliance offers fast, simple implementation with immediate results, serving over 800 dynamic pages per second.
The WARP 2063e features advanced hardware SSL Acceleration capabilities, offering complete security protection from the browser to the appliance, and from the appliance to the origin servers, for sensitive data, credit card transactions, and other authentication-specific requests. It also includes a sophisticated Web interface, request queuing, content preservation, and SNMP monitoring.
Pricing & Availability
Available today, the WARP 2063e starts at $80,000 per unit. The fault-tolerant appliance is configured within a 2U rack-mountable enclosure. For details, contact WARP Solutions at 212-692-9277.
