For Immediate Release:

WARP Solutions Introduces Next-Generation Appliance to Significantly Improve “Application Acceleration” Across IP-Based Networks

NEW YORK (December 4, 2002) – WARP Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of WARP Technology Holdings (OTC BB: WRPT), today announced the immediate availability of the WARP 2063 v2, designed to accelerate delivery of applications, content, and transactions deployed across IP-based networks. WARP 2063 is the lead component of the company’s GTEN (Global Transaction Enabled Network) architecture, which will provide a framework for distributed application acceleration solutions.

Targeting enterprise organizations and service providers, the WARP 2063 application pre-processor is a non-intrusive appliance designed to offload high-volume traffic that typically degrades the speed and performance of Web server infrastructures. The new WARP 2063 v2 features an enhanced Web interface, request queuing, content preservation, advanced SNMP monitoring, and expanded support for all major operating systems and Web servers.

“As organizations continue to leverage the Internet as a channel for application delivery, they will need to implement technologies that can accelerate strategic business initiatives by improving reliability, scalability, capacity, and performance,” said Karl Douglas, CEO of WARP Solutions, Inc. “The WARP 2063 is the first of several appliances from WARP designed to help organizations easily and cost-effectively scale their IT operations, increase speed and efficiency, and support the roll-out of emerging applications and services.”

The WARP 2063 leverages existing IT investments, and can be installed in less than three hours without programming, customization, or coding changes to existing applications. Customers currently using the WARP 2063, including Edgar Online, Forbes.com, and other Fortune 500 companies, have reduced costs and achieved considerable ROI with the use of the WARP 2063, realizing significant results within the first day of operations. The new version now supports 900 transactions per second, increases the number of concurrent user sessions by up to 6 times, and speeds the delivery of applications and content by 30 to 40 times over existing systems – all with a single box.

“As companies move more business-critical applications and services to the Internet, the performance of those applications mounts in importance,” said Peter Christy, co-founder of NetsEdge Research Group. “At the same time, those companies are under continuing pressure to deliver increasing IT cost-efficiencies, so the traditional approach of piling on hardware just doesn’t fly anymore. Products like the WARP 2063 are focused precisely on the problem of scaling Web applications while at the same time achieving the desired cost-benefits of scale.”

Pricing & Availability

Available today, the WARP 2063 v2 starts at $80,000 per unit. The fault-tolerant appliance is configured within a 2U rack-mountable enclosure. A blade version is also available. For details, contact WARP Solutions at 212-692-9277.
